What does FTB Services do?
FTB Services combines building design, working drawings, quantity surveying, construction cost estimating, take-offs, fabrication drawings, 3D renders and selected compliance documentation in one coordinated process.
Why cost a project while the drawings are being developed?
It gives the project team useful construction cost information while design decisions can still be changed, reducing the risk of finding a major budget gap after the documentation is complete.
What are fabrication drawings?
They are detailed drawings a trade can build from. Elements such as structural steel, stud wall frames, roof framing and roof trusses need to be fully detailed for onsite and offsite fabrication purposes. Trades include the cost of such detailing in their quotes. If the drawings are included in the working set, the quotes can be lower because less trade detailing is required.
